DDXG net Thursday evening

Thursday evenings, 80 meters around 3.860, local time 7:45 PM available for check ins, 8:00 PM Eastern begin.

At 1945 Eastern, The following will be read at approximately minutely intervals:

Good evening. This is the Dominion DX Group 80 meter net starting at 2000 Eastern.

Starting with DDXG members, all wishing to join the net, come now.

Now anyone anywhere with an interest in DX, welcome to come now.

At 2000 Eastern, the following invitation will be read:

Good evening. This is the Dominion DX Group 80 meter net.
DDXG is a central Virginia area radio club that is committed to furthering the Amateur Radio Service in its highest traditions, by drawing from the experience of seasoned operators. The club is committed to raising up the next generation of hams by looking to the rich past, while focusing on the future.
A hallmark of Dominion DX is “Elmering,” the willingness to teach others how to follow in their footsteps and raise their technical skills, while maintaining a high degree of discipline. The members of Dominion DX are committed to the teaching of and adherence to the FCC Rules and “good amateur practice.”

We invite all DDXG members and anyone anywhere to discuss DX amateur radio. This is a directed net, where all traffic is directed to Net Control, KX4QC today.

The DDXG entries are in NetLogger and we are ready to go!

The DDXG net, open to all interested in DX will be on the air each Thursday at 8:pm Eastern, around 3860, until further notice. Net announcements, on frequency, will start at 7:45pm Eastern.

BTW, also a VHF net has been suggested for the Richmond VA area, to encourage new General Stations to try DX. It's a lot of fun, and fancy equipment and expensive antennas are absolutely not needed to get you started.
