Right up front, a disclaimer: I know almost nothing about SSTV, except that Tom, WB9DZS showed me that it is a lot of fun, and not difficult at all!
These are all simple quick Analog pix, many from US, and some DX.
All I have is the free QSSTV app, a Linux computer, 100W and a wire!
Give it a try!

Re: Easy fun with SSTV
Still no expert, but having a lot of fun. -Even some DX!
Not bad when all I have is a barefoot 100w rig and a wire.
I have to report that dear old Tom, WB9DZS who introduced me to SSTV, has passed. While greatly missed, he left behind much, including introducing so many to the many ways to have fun with radio. He'd be delighted if you too might give SSTV a try!
Even the software QSSTV is free. Seems there are lots of other SSTV packages to try, and no shortage of "how-to" advice on the web. Not sure how much I can help, but I'm always happy to share. Just ask!
Here's a fine-looking OM from Greece, having a picture-QSO. The pic is just as it arrived, though I am sure it could be "cleaned-up" a bit.
As a start, just listen on 14.230 USB and before long you will be sure to hear the distinctive sound of a pictures over the air. Then how can you not try the software to see the pictures? And anyway what does that ragchewing old friend on the airwaves actually look like?

Re: Easy fun with SSTV - Xmas pix :)
Spent mpst of the day with family, but I did get to catch a few SSTV pix, in keeping with the Season!
Check 'em out: So you didn't know Santa is a ham? He even sends his callsign!
Give SSTV a try. Start with 14.230 and free software like QSSTV or MMSSTV / YONIQ . If KX4QC can do it, surely you.... well, never mind!
