Seems that the trusty gtranslate that I'd dropped into The Hambone and another site hates new php and phpBB building bricks.
The fine doyen of coding, HiFiKabin is working on the issue and tells me the solution may take some time as the code has been made hard to modify.
So, in order to maintain a translation facility at The Hambone, I have taken advice and have dropped in an ancient Google Translator until we can get the better gtranslate to behave.
For any coding gluttons for punishment, or the just plain curious, details are at: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/ext ... ic/249892
Drop me a line if you can figure out how to get gtranslate to work with modern php and phpBB. Both are standards-compliant, so it shouldn't be too difficult!
