Operating Indoors -perhaps HOA?

Post by KX4QC »

Operate indoors?
While many would never contemplate such a thing, maybe think of the possibilities that open up:
  • Quick setup, anywhere.
QRP rig ideal, but moderate power maybe safe.
Hybrid digital modes such as Fusion, DMR, D-Star,
The HOA never needs to know?
    High rise buildings,
    Travel?
There's a book recently out, https://home.arrl.org/action/Store/Prod ... 2020642494
No Outdoor Antenna? No Problem!

Don’t let outdoor antenna limitations keep you from enjoying amateur radio. It is possible to operate on the HF bands with equipment and antenna systems that are entirely inside your house, apartment, or condominium. All it takes is some creative thinking!
Ham Radio from Indoors shows you how to install an effective station and indoor antenna system in any setting. Get the most out of your indoor station by exploring different operating styles!

I'm always full of admiration when I enjoy a QSO with, say, a B callsign, frequently urban and frequently reaching halfway round the world from a highrise...
Ingenuity wins. Don't give up!

I was so sad to learn that a senior friend sold every last item of his station, and intended to abandon ham radio because his new Senior Housing Community didn't permit outside antennas. Ouch!!
Instead, ingenuity to the fore!... What's your solution?
