Veroboard, anyone?

Ok, I'm a Limey who was raised on easy electronic construction with Veroboard, and would you believe, almost nobody here Stateside seems to have heard of it.

It looks a bit like "perfboard" a circuit board with a grid of holes, but don't for a moment think they are equivalent.
Whereas perfboard constrctions are hard to keep tidy and components anchored, Veroboard makes it a breeze.

Each line of Veroboard is connected with a copper strip, ready to take component connections like a breadboard, but with solder.
The result: a compact neat quick PCB equivalent with no etching, or CNC.

So what if you want the copper strips to be interrupted? You just twist a crosshead screwdriver in a hole and the strip stops right there.
(Some use a drill, but it doesn't need to be so difficult.)

Here are a couple of links -No I have no "skin" in Veroboard, just like it!
