A disclaimer right from the start: I get a lot of fun out of a very simple SSTV setup, and so could you. I'm certainly no expert!

Getting started:

Your Own Space Weather Program and K Index - The Astronomical League shows how to do it.

The K index comes from the website, right? -And probably measured far from your QTH.

What if you could know the state of geomagnetic weather with a real magnetometer made from a 2-Liter soda bottle and a laser pointer, and yes, a small magnet that you may well have already.

Here's the detailed ...

Thank you
WIRED, Sophia Chen

Nuking a grape produces sparks of plasma, as plenty of YouTube videos document. Physicists explain how that energy builds up.

Field Day is coming up. Anyone planning 10 GHz?

Catch a Foundationer from UK!

The UK Foundation license is like the US Technician, limited in permitted bands and power.
However, with high solar activity and digital, most commonly FT8, you can make a beginners day, all the way from USA!

Try 14MHz and higher, and look out of a Callsign like M7xxx . The beginner always starts ...

Re: The best diode type for a crystal set? -FET no battery?

Here's a novel thought for Xtal sets:
